The 2016 West Coast Pro-Am was a smashing success, with supporters joining an all-star lineup of tennis pros, legends of the game and celebrities to raise more than $150,000 in support of the USTA Foundation and its mission to serve up dreams for those in need.
The event was hosted by USTA Foundation chairman and former world No. 4 James Blake and was held at the Del Mar Country Club in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif., on Sunday, Nov. 6.
In addition to Blake, other participants included tennis coaching legends Nick Bollettieri and Tom Gullikson; current players Taylor Fritz, Steve Johnson, Bradley Klahn, Bethanie Mattek-Sands, Christina McHale, Sam Querrey, CoCo Vandeweghe and Sloane Stephens; former touring pros Mark Philippoussis, Pam Shriver and Jeff Tarango; actor Alan Thicke; and celebrity fitness trainer Shaun T.
The day’s schedule featured a private hitting session with the pros, a youth clinic with Bollettieri and Gullikson, a Pro-Am, and a reception and dinner to wrap up the day. The dinner was highlighted by an auction, with proceeds going to support the USTA Foundation.
